Recovery Smoothie

For any athlete, both professional and amateur, the need to aid recovery is massively important after intensive training or competing. Here is a smoothie recipe which is designed to give a balance of carbohydrate and protein which can assist your body’s recovery. However, this recipe can be enjoyed by anyone for any reason.

 

Banana & Pecan Recovery Smoothie

1 x banana

1 x tablespoons Greek Yoghurt

200ml x full-fat milk

30g x chocolate whey protein (1 scoop)

3 x teaspoons Kinetic Blends Pecan nut butter

6 x cubes of ice

 

Method

Add all ingredients into a liquidizer and blitz for 30 seconds until fully combined.

We recommend this is consumed 1-2 hours post intensive training or competition if consuming for recovery reasons.

250ml x Roasted almond milk (unsweetened)

3 x teaspoons Kinetic Blends Almond nut butter

2 x scoop strawberry whey protein (low carb)

¼ x lemon juice

½ x small ripe avocado

½ x small handful of spinach

6 x Ice cubes

 

Method

Add all ingredients into a liquidizer and blitz for 30 seconds until fully combined.

We recommend this is consumed 1-2 hours post intensive training or competition if consuming for recovery reasons.

Coconut Over Night Oats

This recipe is designed for a busy life style, it takes 5 minutes to make and makes a great breakfast option or a carb-based snack. Add Kinetic Blends pecan nut butter, blueberries & pecans to make an amazing breakfast or snack.



 

200ml x semi skimmed milk

400ml x coconut milk

300g x natural yogurt

50g honey

1/2 x level tablespoons ground cinnamon 

50g x raisins

240g x jumbo porridge oats

Method

Add all wet ingredients into a mixing bowl and whisk.

Add all dry ingredients together and mix well.

Combine all ingredient together and leave in the fridge in an air tight container overnight before consumed.  Keep in the fridge and consume within three days.
